Hi there! I am a Research Assistant at the Digital Image Processing (DIP) Lab, Islamia College Peshawar advised byDr. Muhammad Sajjad andDr. Khan Muhammad. Previously, I have worked with Corvit Networks Islamabad as an AI Instructor. I completed my BS in Computer Science at Islamia College Peshawar in 2024.
Research Interests
I am working at the intersection of computer vision and deep learning. I am interested in developing multimodal vision-language models for video understanding, with interests in video question answering and open-vocabulary recognition. I am also passionate about applying AI in multidisciplinary domains to solve complex, real-world problems.

- Worked on autonomous navigation project for BS thesis using Jetson Nano.
- Designed and built an autonomous car from scratch:
- Integrated hardware components.
- Optimized pretrained deep learning models for object detection and road segmentation.
- Implemented a control module for obstacle avoidance with a monocular camera.
- Created an RFID-based door lock system using an Arduino microcontroller.

Deep Learning Assisted Autonomous Navigation over Economical Hardware: Implemented a cost-effective autonomous driving system on NVIDIA Jetson Nano. Utilized SSD-MobileNet for object detection and FCN-ResNet34 for road segmentation.
Developed a model using the FER-2013 dataset to classify emotions. Achieved optimal performance with CLIP ViT-B/32, balancing accuracy and speed for real-time applications.
Developed a real-time fire detection system by fine-tuning YOLOv8n on a specialized dataset. Trained on a P100 GPU with 1004 training images, achieving optimal balance between speed and accuracy. Created a Python application for video inference to identify fires in real-time footage.
Created a Streamlit app for pneumonia detection using ResNet18 with 80% test accuracy. Deployed on Hugging Face Spaces for real-world accessibility.
